Pippi Longstocking is a strong, adventurous girl who dances her way through life. Having lost her mother when she was an infant and her father currently lost at sea, Pippi lives in a house with no grownups, a horse and a monkey. A resourceful and unconventional girl, Pippi’s imagination and flair for adventure leads to one adventure after another. She is strong enough to lift a horse, she is a “thing-finder”, confounds two burglars with dancing lessons, celebrates her birthday and opens the eyes of friends and neighbors Tommy and Annika to remarkable new possibilities.
It is a story that speaks of courage, acceptance, individuality, passion, creativity, the flow of being and reveling in our identity and capacity to act. And it is good, plain fun.
